Moldy Oldies and a Blog Award!

Admit it, you have a drawer (or 2…or 5!) filled with supplies that you loves so much that you couldn’t bear to use them, maybe you were saving them for that “special” page and a couple of years later your treasures are outdated! Don’t throw them away, mix them up with some new product and use them, after all you loved them when you bought them, they don’t spoil. Can you find the moldy oldies in this page? They are over 5 years old!

I’m sure anyone who has been scrapping for a few years recognizes the typewriter stickers from EK success, I loved everything that Rebecca Sower designed and I horded these stickers like crazy. And how about the antiquated journaling block, it was a free gift for attending a Creative Memories party 5 years ago! Speaking of CM I know a lot of you have the circle and oval cutters, I made the clips on this page with them, simply place an oval cutter on a piece of pattern paper and cut 3/4 of the way around with the green blade then replace the green with the red blade and cut all of the way around. I found a bag of those I made may years ago hanging out with those stickers! Oh yes, the pattern paper scraps behind the photos are oldies too (about 4 years) the only new stuff was the background paper (DCWV new boy stack) and the cricut cartridge (opposites Attract) that I cut my free vinyl from a sign shop with. Don’t be afraid to use old product!!!

…And now for something completely different…

…you’ve got a friend…

I was crafting in my studio this morning listing to a CD my hubby made for me chock full of folky light rock goodness and the Carol King Song “you’ve got a Friend” came on and I realized how lucky I am to have so many awesome friends in the crafty on-line world! I have gotten so much support from you especially with the opening of my digi-stamp shop and I just want to say thanks. A few of you have shared some of the cards you made with the free digital stamp I posted the other day, take a look at these cards:

Melissa Bove created this lovely card with a pretty yet surprising color combination.

Michelle Hale made this lovely card.

This one is by Margie Visnick, how pretty!

The above card is by Tamara Bennett, love the colors!

Thanks gals for sharing these cards with me!

And my friend Cheri who is a very talented artist sent me a blog award. Be sure to stop by her blog and see her work and while you are there you can vote for her teenage daughter who is in a modeling contest.

I get to pick 5 bloggers who have an attitude of Gratitude and pass this award on too. These blogs inspire me with their willingness to share what they know and what they create with us.

Denise’s Scrapbooing Room, Paper Scissors, Paint Create, My Fence Posts 2,  Jen’s Brain Things , and The Artful Mama

That’s all for now, tomorrow I will review the Cricut Stamp Kit and share some projects I’ve made with it, until then, happy crafting!

I’m Fabulous!!!

Lookie what I got today:

You think that’s cool, look what else I got today:

Samples from the Gorilla Glue company, Score!
Samples from the Gorilla Glue company, Score!

I’ve never tried Gorila Glue before, I picked it up at the hardware store once but never bought it…I guess I’m attracted to sparkly pink packages. But when the Gorilla Glue company contacted me about trying their products I said “Sure” (heck yeah, free samples…bring it on!) I think I’ll try the super glue on a jewelery project, I’ve had crappy luck with other brands “super glues” they chip or brake but GG’s has rubber particles in it and it is thicker so I’m anxious to use it! I’ll let you know how it works. Thanks again to Gorilla Glue for sending me the boatload of product to use! Did you see the T-Shirt under the stash, I’ll give it to my hubby cuz he is going to be sooooo jealous when he sees what I got in the mail today. And I’m totally altering that box!

OK back to me being fabulous…OK not me the blog…I am supposed to list 5 obsessions, here goes:
