Today I have a belated birthday card you can make in about 15 minutes using one of my favorite brands of stamps available at TopFlight stamps: Katzelcraft! I love the expressive characters in all of their stamp sets and every time I add a set to my collection I am thrilled at how well they go together! Colorful Cat Card {that was SO much fun to make!)

Hi friends! Today we are going to get inky and make a cheerful belated birthday card!

I am really loving playing with my new Distress Oxide inks but you don’t have to have them to make this card, use the inkpads you have and see how they work, even in the effect isn’t identical that’s part of the fun! Crafting would be pretty boring if we all made the exact same stuff. Watch the video to see how this card was put together then try some of the techniques for yourself:)

The watercolor I used are not on the market yet but you can get more info here.

I have to admit I feel like a bit of a doofus giving a belated birthday card but the funny thing is I often get told that it’s better than an on-time birthday greeting because it is unexpected and it extends the celebration longer. At least we can still show someone we care even if being punctual is not out strong suit:) Do you send belated birthday cards? Let me know in the comments below and share any clever sayings you put on them, it will help us all out! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Mama said there’d be days like this…

Happy early Monday! For the first time ever I have planned dentist appointments for myself and kids at the same time…I’m really hoping it goes smoothly. Wish me luck and no cavities!  🙂

Simple Sunday Stamping: A Belated B-day Card

We all need these right? You remember a birthday the day after it came to pass and you feel like a dolt. Well, save face in style with this simple design:

I used the library card digital stamp from the Teacher’s Helper SVG kit  and the vintage typewriter from the Steampunk Style digistamp kit BUT I turned them into real stamps with my stampmaker! I decided to create a troubleshooting guide to the stampmaker, look for that in a day or two 🙂 Here is a look at the kit’s I used today:

Pastel Colors+Kraft=Yummy Color Combo!

I love kraft cardstock, it is like the little black dress of your craft stash, it goes with everything!

I made this card for a very dear friend after neglecting to send the card I planned to give her on her birthday (I’m such a boob!) but better late than never right?

I used paper from my Hugs & Kisses digital paper pack for the background. I simply printed them from the Windows Picture & Fax viewer (how easy is that!) and it automatically scaled them to a quarter sheet. If you want step by step instructions for that please see this post.

Well, that is all I have time to write today, the kids have been on break all week and running this momma ragged! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
