Hi friends! I have a couple of friends getting married this summer so my mind has been buzzing with DIY wedding ideas. Not only can you save lots of money making some of your decor but you can have a great time too and create something truly unique!
Watch the video to see how easy it is to make this centerpeice using supplies from our sponsor Papermart!
Directions:
1. Wrap jar with rose ribbon and tack down with glue.
2. Add a strip of burlap ribbon of fabric over the rose trim.
3. Tie on a piece of sheer tulle.
4. Wrap with twine and adhere buttons, shells or rhinestones if desired.
Your vase is now ready for flowers! Happy crafting!
Hi friends! Have you ever wanted to decorate plain boxes for pretty storage? Today I am going to show you how to make a box to hold cards at a wedding, shower or graduation. It is a good idea so cards do not get lost in a pile or gifts or misplaced. Even if you do not have one of the occasions coming up you can still use the techniques I will show you to cover other boxes with fabric for gift giving or storage and if you are anything like me you’ve got boxes.
One of my favorite writers, Erma Bombeck, said “I never met a box I didn’t like” or maybe it was “She never met a box she didn’t like” and she was talking about a crazy relative, either way the shoe-box fits! Watch the video to see how to cover one with fabric!
Directions:
1. Open the flat. Use the box as a template to cut the fabric, I give 2″ of extra fabric all the way around. Save your scraps for making rosettes.
2. Spray the “outside” of the box with spray adhesive and press to the wrong side of the fabric.
3. Trim around tabs. Leave extra fabric around flaps and use double-sided tape to adhere the excess fabric to the inside of the box.
4. Fold the box back up and decorate it!
I hope you enjoyed this project. Wedding card boxes can be very expensive so it’s nice to make something classy and save some cash while matching the décor of the party. You can also use the satin fabric to make chair bows or covers or sew them into sweet little favor bags (check out this tutorial for tips on sewing on satin fabric!) Hi friends! First of all I want to thank everyone who took the time to leave a supportive comment on the last post, they say shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow so thank you for easing my burden. It is still hard but I know I am not alone:) Now let’s share some joy, here is an Easter favor I made the other day:
It could be for weddings, or bridal showers too. Watch the video to see how it is made (it is quick and easy just in time for Easter!)
Directions:
1. Cut a quarter circle of vellum slightly larger than your doily. Adhere both together.
2. Roll the doily into a cone and secure with glue.
3. Add a ribbon for hanging.
4. Embellish as desired.
I hope you enjoyed this project and I wish you all a very happy Easter. Til next time happy crafting.
I love the days getting longer, pastel colors and everything that comes with spring including Easter!
Today I will show you how to make this sweet favor bag. You can fill it up with candies or maybe a few small toys to entertain the kids before Easter dinner.
Tip! Fill the bag with goodies before assembling the bunny. Thanks to Papermart for sponsoring this video, thanks to YOU for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Directions:
1.Cut banner shapes and hearts from pink cardstock. Cut LOVE from the hearts.
2. Adhere doilies to the banners, then hears to the doilies.
3. Wrap with twine.
4. Attach to a long piece of jute with mini clothespins for hanging.

Hi friends! I have a quick and fun project for you tonight!
These paper bows are fun and a great way to use up strips of paper. The gift box, tag and glitter I am using are from our sponsor Papermart!
Watch the video to see how!
Tip, thick glossy paper is tougher to glue but a helpful viewer KINDERCRAFTS shared this tip: “The way I put my bows together is on each strip, once you overlap the ends, punch a small hole. Then I use a long gold or silver or colored brad, start with the smallest strips first, and layer the bow on the brad. The last row of (larger) strips are more tight and this brings the bow all together. Close the brad, and you can fix the bow if it needs it. Then you can use a strong double-sided tape to glue the rolled strip in the middle.” Honestly, my viewers are the smartest folks out there:D
Here are the sizes of paper strips you will need:
eight 1″x6″ strips
four 1″x5″ strips
one 1″x4″ strip
*Cut a 12″x12″ paper in 1″ strips and then cut the shorter pieces from that. Use extra strips for the “ribbon” on the box.
You can use wet glue in place of the Scor-Tape on the glitter tag, it will work just as well but will need time to dry. Now I realize that you might not have time to make paper bows for Christmas gifts but they are great anytime of year, I hope you try them! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Directions:
1. Make peppermint swirls on paper plates with a red marker.
2. Wrap plate with red deco mesh.
3.Gather each end of mesh and secure with ribbon.

Hi friends! Quick update on Rosie the hen, she is still improving and eating a bit more, she seems to be taking thick oatmeal well and she had some peas and pear today. I think she lost a bit of weight before we brought her in and I wish she would eat and drink more but she seems happy. She is wide awake and looks perky but she just hangs out perched on her box. Very un-chicken like.
On to the project! I want to create a simple, east to make place card to enhance a fall or Thanksgiving dinner table. I used some basic supplies and some natural elements to make this. Watch the video to learn how!
Write guests name with an embossing pen or juicy marker on a die cut, sprinkle on embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.
Attach die cut to tag and embellish with bakers twine, ribbon and buttons.
Hot glue pine sprig and pine cone to gold doily and place tag between the tines of the pine cone.
That’s it! Easy and elegant and perfect for Thanksgiving. Thanks to Papermart for sponsoring this project, thank you for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
