  1. Hi Lindsay, I just wanted to let you know that I Love your videos! I’m learning so much! Let me share this: an art appraiser once told me that old, well preserved watercolors can become quute valuable, simply because they do not last.
I have a painting of the Monterey/ Carmel area in California. The sky was once a soft blue, it is now becoming a brownish haze.
This painting was done in the 1940s to 1950s by a supposedly famous artist. It also survived a home fire in 1986, because of the glass. Our oil paintings also survived, but were blistered by the heat. I’m wondering if this is also the reason for the brownish tinge? But I don’t dare touch it! As for my own work, I hope to enjoy it while I’m alive, afterwards… I can’t imagine it being that valuable!
Thanks for all your hard work producing these videos!
    Karen
