What Can I Make with the Smart Art August 2020 Box?

Hi freinds, I’m not gonna lie, this box was challenging to work with!

But as always I pushed through and made some stuff!

I think it was cool that the kit came with Masa Paper. I haven’t used that in years and I love crinkling it up and painting on the smooth side. By wetting and crinkling the paper you crack the sizing on the smooth side so when you paint on it the watercolor water-based in will seep in the cracks and give you an almost batik look. You just have to be sure you paint on the smooth side so before crinkling so you might want to draw on the smooth side like I did with the pen or make an “x” in the corner of the paper on the smooth side in pencil so you can tell what side to use. Check out how the back of my 2nd fish painting looks. That would be a cool background for a project!

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Very enjoyable. The fish are a perfect subject for this medium.

  2. I thank you, Linsay, for keeping me busy and broke (LOL) during these hard hot times out here in Death Valley at the Ye ole solar farm!
