Paint a Butterfly and roses with me!

Hi friends! Did you know that July is world watercolor month? what better way to celebrate than by painting! I am planning on painting something every day in watercolor this month even if it’s just a quick sketch outside. It’s a great way to get back in the habit if you have been on an art hiatus. Here is the picture I painted yesterday.

If you want to see what I am painting you can check out my Instagram page. I won’t get a chance to film them all but I might do tutorials for the more popular ones in the future. For now, enjoy this real-time tutorial. I hope you like it!

Supplies (Affilate links used)

  • Both of my sketchbooks are from Arteza. *get 10% off your order with coupon code: LindsayWeirich1 through 7/20/20 This is the one I painted today’s demo in (you get a 2 pack) This is the square one I painted my original in. *you also get 2 sketchbooks for this price. Personally, I prefer this sketchbook but the paper is a bit thinner.
  • I used a random set of paints, use what you have:)
