LIVE! Magnolia Branch & Goldfinch LIVE 12:30pm ET!

Hi friends! This morning when I was looking at reference photos trying to decide what to paint everything was beautiful to me. Kind of like when you are hungry and you go grocery shopping and everything looks good!

I decided to use 3 reference photos to compose this piece:

One of the reasons I think I feel so inspired by every lovely flower I see today is because I just launched my brand new Watercolor Floral Workshop! I have been working on a system to breakdown watercolor flower painting to its basic roots, then work with water to make the final paintings look as loose and fluid as you want while still retaining the flower structure. It took a lot of trial and error to come up with a technique that made it look effortless and yet completely reproducible even for artists new to watercolor flower painting.

As a thank you to my special friends who jump in early on Watercolor Flower Workshop you get 50% off during the launch. Use the coupon code FLOWER POWER if the discount doesn’t show up.

Lilacs In A Jar

This class features over 6 hours of step by step watercolor instruction over 11 lessons. I am even working on an alphabetized archive of my past flower tutorials should you find them useful. This course  also contains the complete Lilac and Rose Painting workshops I just Taught in person at Heirloom Productions last week (a $100 value for just those 2 lessons!) as well as 9 other technique packed demonstrations.

I break my lessons down into easy steps so you can learn brush strokes, composition and how to work with the water so you can create an expression of beauty and not and undefined blob (we’ve all been there.) After the basic lessons and flower demos we move on to a more advanced painting with loose negative-painted background. It was so much fun to develop this class for you!

  2. I am very interested in taking the water color flowers class but was wondering if I have to follow along during the designated time or could I do it anytime at all. I love your art, especially when you do cards. I love to make cards. Let me know about my questions. Thanks so much Lindsay.

  3. Actually you answered my question for Jan. I really would like to take this class, but don’t have a clue as to when I will have the time. So I was just going to ask if I can enroll and do it later…possibly way later. I really enjoyed your watercolor class with the koi.

    • Hi, Sue! Once you enroll, the class will be there for you whenever you can get to it and you can go back to it as much as you want. You’d save some money getting it by July 4 with the FLOWERPOWER coupon code, but you could still take the course when you have the time. Thank you!
