Howdy friends! I am really excited today because I get to get away some art goodies! 5 lucky blog readers will win their choice of colorway of either a 7 pack or 13 pack of new Azure markers from Royal & Langnickel and (because you will need something fun to color) a Cling daisy stamp from Stampendous. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what marker set you want (you can see all 18 sets here) and tell me what state you are from because due to shipping restrictions I can only offer this to USA residents.
I will also be giving away 5 Azure marker sets and Stampendous Poppy cling stamps on my Instagram! So pop over there for another chance if you like.
In today’s video I’ll show you how wonderful these markers are and how you can use them (or whatever markers you already have) to create smooth blends and airbrush effects!

Supplies:
- Royal & Langnickel Azure Markers
- Stampendous Rose stamp set: (the rose set with the vase is unavailable but this one is close and very pretty and so is this one and it has several big flowers and 2 vases.)
- Stampendous Poppy Cling Stamp
- Cardstock for markers
- Stencils used: SSS Folk Dance Stencil, The Scales and Tiles are both by Judikins but I think they may be retired, Similar ones can be found here.
- Marker “airbrush” hand atomizer.

I love the marker set you found with the different flowers and two vases. I guess I should not have sold the “poor man’s airbrush”, that I received free, for $1.00 at a garage sale! I would love to try the Mediterranean set of markers doing the sea in Coastal Georgia, or the botanical set to celebrate our glorious, colorful gardens. Using markers for me is definitely a learning experience, however, I am persistent and keep trying. Some of my efforts are even worth keeping!

The pastel set!!! I live in Virginia. (A little side note: my daughter in love is an artist and teaches art for their home-school co-op. I told her about the cheap (oops,….FRUGAL) way to try paint pouring. And then I saw a blog post that was part of a hop, and one of the card-makers was talking about learning to use gouache. Of course I had to tell her about using it to re-ink pigment ink pads!!!) Thanks for all of it!!!

After an almost 10 year hiatus from stamping and crafting because of a very bad relationship, I finally got away and began my life again, my love of stamping cards has been renewed, and, I’m so glad I found you and all your YouTube videos, and tutorials! The last time I stamped was when radiant pearls came out, and the latest and greatest thing was just beginning, using velcro on the back of red rubber stamps. Halos. Remember? The velcro on the acrylic blocks and on the back of the rubber! I still have many of my Halos converted unmounted stamps. And boy have many things changed in these last years. I love your ideas, I love your projects you’ve really inspired me and got me back into my love of stamping! I have a lot, several years in fact, of catching up to do. Hi Lindsey! I am new to coloring and suck at it. I love your tutorials – as long as I can download them when I am in town and watch them later at home… It sucks not having true broadband Internet available where we live – in the woods in Northern Idaho. It is beautiful here which almost makes up for the Internet situation. As far as markers go. I don’t have a clue about them. 13 seems better than 7 but I really wouldn’t mind either set. Though I am more fond of bold bright colors than pastels so whichever is bright would be the preference… Thanks for your unwavering energy and tutorials. You rock.

I have to say that your brush lettering looks beautiful to me. It doesn’t need to replicate someone else’s work! Just like you have a personal style when you paint, your lettering should be unique as well. Don’t put yourself down!
