Sketchbook Sunday: Chickadee!

Hi friends! Today in the sketchbook I decided to sketch a bird that has been plentiful around my bird feeders: the chickadee!

I used a reference from the Artist Photo Reference: Songbirds book. I picked up a bunch of the Artist Photo Reference books used on Amazon back in December and they have been the best investment. I highly recommend them if you can grab them at a good price.  Here is a time-lapse video of today’s sketch!

  1. Wow Lindsay this is absolutely beautiful. It really looks like you’ve sketched one of the wild birds with a view from my kitchen window.
