  2. Beautiful as always! I need to do more mixed media and I need to use my Distress Inks more so may well give this a go and maybe make a card or a canvas panel out of it. Somehow I only just learned how to frame the latter, which has encouraged me to use them!

I have been eyeing the distress crayons but wasn’t sure what they could do or if I “needed” them..lol.. until I saw you drawing a neat portrait on your journal page as a guest on Barb Owens channel. Thank you for the demonstration..I think I will buy me a pack or two. As always love your channel and your craftsy class. I hope you do more classes in the future.

  6. That came out incredible. I love the mixed media. The distress crayons react differently with the collage mediums such as vintage, crazing, and matte which came out at CHA with the distress crayons. Another way to use them perhaps? I do love this project and the stamp is divine!

I love watching your channel and especially your stamp videos and every time I go to micheals I basically get drunk looking at all the stamps and inks and punches😍😍😍😍 then i realize that I’m only really aloud to buy one product from micheals and that the stamps are rediculously expensive and I get really sad and over welmed because I have to get only one thing out of all the stamps and punches and the sad thing is…micheals is the only craft store near me!!!😢😣😭😭😭😭well long story short…(it was already long) I have like no stamps and I just want them all at the same time…!!!!!😭😭😭😭

  16. I really like that metallic look you gave that panel! I remember you mentioned in another video about how the color could be in the binding material and maybe that’s the case I think with dollar store eye shadow. They dye the binding and add the mica as a little extra sparkle, maybe. Anyway, really enjoyed your video and the stamps are really neat!

  35. Lyndsey, sometimes we crafters need to know what a product won’t do. Please don’t feel bad about telling us. There is nothing more frustrating than using our time and supplies to find that the technique didn’t work. Sometimes those mistakes are happy accidents and sometimes just train wrecks! What your fans appreciate about you is your honesty. You give us the good and the bad. That isn’t negative; it’s helpful.

I got rid of ALL my craft supplies last year as I was having difficulty using my hands due to the injury I received after I was rear-ended.

After surgery and lots of physical therapy, I’ve been bit by the creative bug again! I live in a little one bedroom apartment but I made a space for a craft area with a dedicated 3’x6′ shelf I bought.

I’ve been collecting supplies here and there and I have been able to create several projects that I’ve been happy with.

You were so brave painting the couch but it turned out great.

Thanks for showing us how to use Distress Crayons. They are so different than most crayons, by design, that I don’t always know how to use them. I always learn something on your videos.

  156. Thank you Lindsay for another great tutorial. Some of the products you use are not always available in Australia but eventually they usually trickle through. The wonderful thing is that by watching you l know what to look for and its a application. If the product isnt available l have enough details from you to search out an alternative. The card turnd out superbly.

We usually see another layer of card stock underneath the focus card, not beside it. I have to make a few sympathy cards, going to make a side panel. Thanks for the inspiration.

Because it seems I always make a mess. I just like that you are real. You know mistakes happen in crafting and u r ok with that. Because when i am doing projects i know i make mistakes and am messy i get aggrivated when my stuff does not come out right but i try to think what would Lindsay do and it helps.
