My daughter loves the little kits from Oriental Trading and likes to make gifts for her classmates, teammates, friends, etc. Through her 4-H program she is also selling crafty things she makes at a local farmer’s market this summer. Great inspiration, going to have to check out those plastic films!

  23. Hi Lindsay
Not too sure if the give-away is open to your loyal followers this side of the pond or not but wanted to leave a comment anyway. I love making jewellery and I think this bracelet is too cool for words and lovely and light as well with the materials that you’ve used. Making this would be so much fun and I feel a jewellery making session coming on as I’ve not made anything for an age. Thanks for sharing this great project.

  41. Hello Lindsay, I am always looking for ways to incorporate art/craft into my activities programming at the adult day center where I work with adults who have disabilities. I think I have a variation that will work well with my folks who have motor skills issues. I have a lot of light weight non metal black chain. I am going to have them lace embroidery thread through the links of the chain and whip stitch the charms onto the chain with the thread and a large plastic needle.

I had this post open on my computer for a few minutes before I got the chance to watch the video, and my daughter and her friend seen the picture of the bracelet and they both said “oooh that’s so pretty, I want one!” And I have to agree with them. That is a very cute bracelet. My girls and I will definitely be making a few of these in the next couple days. Can’t afford to buy the kit right now, so I’m just going to have to look around my craft supplies and see what we can use to make something similar. Thank you so much for the great tutorial!
