Stamp School #8! Scoring, Reinking and using a Stamp Positioner!

Hi friends! Today in stamp school I will answer some of your questions and show you some basics that we have not covered yet:

  1. How to Re-ink an inkpad.
  2. How to score cardstock before folding.
  3. How to use a stamp positioner and how to make one with Legos!
  4. 4. How to draw a banner and sentiment.

Video! We will also color a sock monkey, yay!

Let me know if you have any questions you would like answered in stamp school, I can’t believe we have completed 8 weeks so far. I plan on branching out with now other supplies so you can see if they are something you want to add, like embossing powder, regular colored pencils and alcohol markers. I will also give options for the materials we have been using as well. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Happy crafting!

  1. I am really enjoying stamp school. Although I’ve been stamping for quite a while I always seem to learn something new from your videos.

  2. Great video! Thanks foe sharing. On another note, I have made a few sock monkeys in my time and followed Carol Duval. The body of the monkeys were always grey and the end of the arms, tail and legs were done in red and his mouth also.

  3. Lindsay, if you don’t have a blender pen, can you use a stump and glycerine or glycerine/water? I will order the Dove, but I’d like to try blending on something I need sooner. Thanks for this series!

  4. Can you do one on sure cuts a lot, that type of software. I know ,you are the frugal crafter, and it doesnt sound like getting a cricut is cost effective, but when I look at all of the dies and stamps I could pirchase, perhaps it would be more economical to have a cricut like machine. SVG files confuse me!

  6. Thanks for a great tutorial, Lindsay. I found the reinking part especially helpful because when I’ve done it in the past it’s never really lasted and I thought the whole thing was a rip-off but I wasn’t putting enough ink on.

  7. Stamp positioner is one of my most fav. tools! Have it for years, ever since the same one on the video came out! By the way, Lindsey, nobody can draw the banner like you, and that’s why the stamps like that are sold. You are a true artist! 🙂
