India Inspired!

Hi friends! Tonight I have a card to share. I was inspired by some ribbon and trims that my friend Shilpa from Artyshils Art World sent me (she painted my portrait on her channel, she is an amazing artist!) I also had the Pen Pattern Elephant stamp from Stampendous that I wanted to play with and I thought it was the perfect match!

Watch the video to see how it all came together-mistakes and all!

Supplies:

As I mentioned in the video I mixed new and old supplies, it’s a great way to inject new life into your stamping stash. My friend Cindi purposely buys new things to work with older product, that was such a great idea/advice that I thought I would share it with you. Thanks so much for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Lindsay,
I love it. The colors are beautiful. But, then again, they are my favorites, too. The whole concept is gorgeous. Good job. Thanks for sharing.

In India, we love to embellish and decorate our envelopes, when we are gifting cash to someone! I would have loved to share some of my pics here, but don’t know how..

  7. I think this card is beautiful. I am considering buying either Color Bust or Brusho Crystal colors. What is the difference and which do you think is best?

    Thanks,

  8. Hi Lindsay! I love this! You are brilliant!! I need these colour powders!! I was wondering if I could have your advice? I am in the UK and I would love to be on a design team for stamping, colouring and card making, I love all crafts. How do I go about this? Should I email companies or phone them or send examples of my projects?? I hope you can help me, love Claire xxxx

    1. Hi Claire,
If I were you I’d email my favorite companies that you already use OR post projects that you have made with their products on their Facebook fan pages or # them on twitter or instagram (whatever network you are most popular in) You will have better luck with smaller independent companies because they use Design Teams as advertising but larger companies are more likely to pay professional designers to create samples to advertise with or advertise strait with them. I would try UK based companies first because USA companies might not want to ship overseas. You will want to have a blog or Youtube channel or really popular socail media account to be considered usually be cause companies use the design team for advertising and they want you to sell their products and promote their brand so keep that in mind when you apply. Good luck!

      1. Thankyou for getting back to me so quickly Lindsay! I don’t have a blog at the moment so maybe I will start with that and post some pictures on stamping companies facebook pages as you suggest? is it relatively straight forward to set up a blog? and is it expensive to do? I dont have a lot of spare cash (if any!) sorry for all the questions x
