Hi friends! I am not going to whine today but I have to tell you the funniest thing. I went to pick up my kids from basketball last night and they asked me if I got picked for a jury and I said yes and they said “Mom! that is so exciting, we can see you on TV!” then I had to explain that Judge Judy was not presiding over these cases and tell them that The Peoples Court was not trial by jury, or even real. It took them a while to grasp that. They were very disappointed. It would be entertaining if the judge heard testimony and shouted “Baloney!” I love sassy TV judges…I wonder if they are really judges or just actors? Let’s get back on topic shall we? I shot my first craft storage video the other day on beads and jewelry making supplies and I plan on knocking out a few more tomorrow so if you have requests for storage videos let me know. I am going to try to show how to store all my crafty stuff but you will probably think of things I forgot. I have been a bit spacey lately so I’ll tale all the help I can get! The next couple AACs will likely be me solo (sorry bout that, I’ll try to be entertaining or at least informative without the crafty ninjas at my side) due to unpredictable jury duty requirements. At lease doing these solo and the craft storage videos I can pretty much film them when I have a spare moment with little planning:) I hope you like them!

kids are funny LOL 😀 !! and yes the judges are really judges and the people that appear on the shows sign binding arbitration to accept whatever the judges ruling is. it may be more entertaining then the real thing, but i used to intern for a judge and he took no bs in his court, spoke his mind, and was very respected by all including those that appeared before him. that was a different time in our country sadly those days seem to be gone. good luck with your jury duty and dont worry about us! we will still be here and will take anything you share with us!! you are the bomb!!! 🙂

I really enjoy your videos….you are fun and informative at the same time!
I have a very small space…..my problem is that I do several things…..I am mostly a card maker…..I have 5 rolling bins full of stamps, paper, ink, glitter, paper, embossing folders and die cuts. I also do dollhouse miniatures…..I make furniture, decorate room boxes, that take up room, even tho everything is miniature, it takes up a lot of room!
And I also do cross stitch, sew and mosaics. My problem is how to not only organize, but how to separate all the different things I do. I work in an area that’s about 10X12 feet. Any ideas??? Before I forget, what is a good type of chair to work in. I don’t have a comfortable chair, so I tend to stand up and at the end of the day, my back is screaming!

How do you store tissue paper?
The colors seem to fade if it isn’t stored somewhere dark and also it’s hard to pull out of a stack without tearing it. I often use tissue paper to wrap up presents so I need to keep it immaculate. The last batch I ordered came the size of watercolor sheets instead of folded twice.

I keep mine in an underbed box. I think it works well. I keep flat fold gift wrap and gift bags in there, too.

Great advice and information, Lindsay. Organization of art supplies seems to be an ongoing job. I have finally started working on all my stuff to get it better organized, and it really does make a difference. I kind of think about organizing a kitchen when I work. Most used items closer and handy so I don’t have to get off my chair. Also, I found that having paints and inks visible makes me be more creative with color. Oh, and like your other blogger said, those court shows ARE real, and Judge Judy is a real Judge. I’d still rather work on being creative rather than watch them, though. Thanks for taking the time to video when you have more irons in the fire than you would like right now.

I would really love to see about a great way to store dies, so they´re easy to flip through to find the ones you ned, without they´re falling of any plates or anything. I do have a lot of dies, as they´re my biggest addiction besides beautiful papers and ribbons LOL. I have tryed soo many ways, but they never work anyway, when I start working with them. At the moment I have a big drawer, that my husbond made for me, where I have them separated after brands in different rows in there, and keep them in the bags I get them in, but they always goes in pieces after a while, and then the dies can fall out, and it´s all a mess, and I really want to keep them in the right sets, so I can remember, which goes together and the name of the sets, when someone asks where this or that is from, but also so it´s easy to find, those I need, but now it just doesn´t work like I want it to, so I hope, you have a really good idea, and please not something, that´ll cost lots of money, cause I can´t afford that. So prefferably something I can make myself. Thanks sooo much for all your amazing ideas here always.

Mariannl, I started putting my dies on book rings and then hanging them on Command hooks on my bi-fold doors. I plan on die cutting a tag and putting the company name. I’ve also seen where someone used magnetic floor vent covers and clipped them to clips on the door or wall. When I find the magnetic vent covers I plan to punch a hole in them and hang them on the Command hooks.

Would love ideas for organizing embellishments (card/scrapbooking). Mine are now tossed in a a big plastic drawer and it’s so hard to find anything.

There is now an HP printer with a “plan” called Insta-Ink. The Printer will order the ink when it runs low, and you pick a plan (which you can change or cancel at any time) depending on your printing needs, and if you go over your plan page limit, its only $1 per 20 (100 page per month plan) pages over. this is more economical for me as I cant afford to pay the high true ink cartridges, and now I don’t have to. Its also bank drafted so no worries, and pages do roll over ( never more than double your plan pages though) if you don’t use them all. OH…and you never pay for the shipping of the ink either, It just shows up with postage paid return used ink envelopes. that is interesting…I don’t think it is for me though since I print a lot and have 3 kids in school printing homework. It might be just the ticket for someone in need of a new printer though!
