Hi Friends! Tonight I have a fun project using cardstock and duct tape, have a look:
If you don’t have duct tape you can use 2″ ribbon, scrapbook paper or even leftover gift wrap, just cut it into 2″ wide strips and cut those into 1 1/2″ lengths and fold them just like I did in the video. If you are not using duct tape you will need to use glue, I suggest a glue stock for thin wrapping paper, tacky glue or hot glue for scrapbook paper and hot glue for ribbon. I have found myself using my ELBs all over the house. I have a set for crafts and a set for lunches. I have been in the habit of after dinner packing leftovers in the bento style boxes for my hubby to take to work. The other day when my son decided 5 minutes before the bus came that he needed cold lunch for school I was able to make a sandwich and pack fruit and snacks for him in 3 minutes flat! I mostly love how the ELBs go in the dishwasher because I have decided that I will not longer purchase anything that will not go in the dishwasher! Yes, I am that lazy. Don’t judge. I am even using them to make a portable gift wrap box, I placed in tags, 2 mini sharpies, washi tape and baker’s twine so anyone who needs to wrap gifts can take the box where they want to wrap.

Hi friends! Wanna know a secret? I have always loved wrapping presents. I am kind of afraid to admit this because I fear that all my friends will drop off their gifts to be wrapped. The trouble is that this time of year I don’t have as much time to put into the wrappings. Well, that is until now. I came up with some cute and clever ideas using inexpensive supplies from Papermart! You probably have some of these things around your house too so I urge you to try some of these ideas today!
The first tip I can offer for quick holiday wrapping is to make a dedicated space. You don’t have to keep it up all year but during the holidays it is a must. It can be a card table in the corner of your basement with a supply of scissors, tags, pens and tape. You can place a clean tall trash can next to the table to hold rolls of wrapping paper. If you have a guest room you might put a small piece of plywood on the bed (smooth, thin Masonite won’t snag your bedding) so you have a large work space you can sit and wrap at. It is more comfy than trying to wrap gifts sprawled across the floor and since it is more enjoyable you are more likely to wrap for longer and get more done! Today we are going to use kraft paper as the base of our wrapping and you can see my big tip for storing that for ease of use in today’s video:

You totally just sang that didn’t you? I could not resist, sorry! I was changing my fall decorations over to Christmas decorations the other day and was just about to toss my gourds into the woods when I noticed that one had completely dried out! It must have been because it was over my fireplace so the heat dried it instead of it rotting. I thought it would make a great surface to paint on. I was right!
This project is super easy to paint and don’t worry if you don’t have a dried out gourd lying around, you can use a burnt out light bulb or Christmas ball for this. You will also need acrylic paint, felt, a pom-pom, red sequins, a green paper scrap and scissors.

Hi friends! Yesterday I made a bunch of clay ornaments to use as gift tags on Christmas presents and I left all of my supplies out so my kids could make some if they wanted today. Well, my girls took one look at the ornaments and said “Mom, what does that say 2015?” To which I replied “Because that is this year.” The girls looked at each other and said “No it’s not!” I guess I am just ahead for next year! LOL!
Luckily I only stamped the date on one ornament! Working with polymer clay is really fun. There are some pitfalls I want to help you avoid though. There are different kinds of polymer clay and they all have a purpose. I thought about making this video really short and showing only the step by step (that seems to be the popular thing to do among YouTube crafters) but I really wanted to explain a little more in-depth so you can avoid making brittle ornaments or burning your clay. Maybe it is over explaining, what do you think? You can let me know in the comments below. 😀
Supplies:
polymer clay
stamps
ink (pigment-metallic looks really pretty!)
plastic wrap
rolling-pin or pasta machine
oven
needle tool, pin or straw
cookie cutter
mica powder (optional)
Directions (these are brief since I explained so much in the video):
Condition the clay be kneading or rolling through the pasta machine several times. Flatten the clay and place plastic wrap on top, cut with a cookie cutter. Remove plastic wrap and excess clay. Make a hole for the ribbon. Dust with mica powder if desired. Stamp snowflake with pigment ink. Bake according to package instructions. After cool, add ribbon for hanging.
