I just started making cards and I watch all the card videos on youtube, I’ve noticed that they leave the top of the card empty and put all the stuff at the bottom, can you tell me why?

there is a product called Translucent Liquid Sculpey that you can use to pour on photocopies and make polymer clay sheets. I think you can color it with alcohol ink too.

I’ve been meaning to ask a question about polymer clay. I have heard that there are some polymer clay artists who use cheap pastels to color their clay. I don’t mean they use it to add shading to their creations (which I have seen done as well) but I mean they actually shave multiple colors of pastel dust off with a razor, and thoroughly mix the dust into white clay to create any color they want. So you don’t need to buy as many colors. You can get by with buying white clay (you can get a pound of it!) and a cheap set of pastels…and maybe a brick of translucent clay. I’ve never tried it though, have you? So my question is do you have to be concerned about the lightfastness of the pastel? Or do you not have to be concerned because the color will be baked into the clay? If you do have to be concerned about lightfastness are there any cheap non toxic pastel sets available that are lightfast? Or is all the cheap stuff fugitive and you’re better off just buying separate colors of clay (which I know you can also mix together to create other colors….But to be honest some of us love to see color and want all the colors! LOL)

Well, I never hear about mixing it in, I have used it by brushing it on top or raw clay but you can do that, I found a wonderful resource here: http://www.polypediaonline.com/133688/Poly-Dictionary I don’t know if you will get the intense color you want this way but it is worth a try I suppose!

Hi Lindsay, I am sure you are very busy getting ready for the holiday. I was given a lot of 2 1/2 inch wide wired ribbon mostly xmas themed. Do you have any unique crafts for wired ribbon? Obviously I can do the bows or flowers but do you have any genius crafty suggestions? Thank you so much for your time and consideration, Megan.

try the duct tape tree I just posted, you can use ribbon just like the tape but use hot glue to secure it to the cone. All you need it one sheet of cardstock for each tree! It’s easy!
