Happy 4th of July & Create with Freedom!

Hi friends! I want to wish all of my american readers a happy 4th of July!

And I am going to show you how to make this card:

DCF 1.0

The motorcycle stamp is from Local King Rubber Stamps. The “Happy birthday” is SU! (retired) and the Frame is Inque Boutique (retired) the stencils and dauber bottlers were from Oriental Trading Company.  It was rough going, there were a couple of times during  this tutorial that I thought I might have to toss it and start again but I persevered and I liked the outcome. The best part of have a project go downhill is that there is no where to go but up! You should keep at it because you can’t make it any worse, you have nothing to lose…Didn’t Janis Joplin say something like that? Are you curious how it went? Watch the video:

It is raining n Maine right now so no fireworks tonight. We are going to have a family movie night instead, we are going to watch The Parent Trap! In fact, I better go make popcorn! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Dear Marvelously Creator,
Wondering if you can put ALL your videos on a continuous feed starting from the beginning. It’s so aggravating having to jump up and reset for another. 20 minutes is just plain not enough time. And since my brain doesn’t retain too well any more, I could watch you all day long & learn stuff that escaped me the first ten times around. Watching you endlessly would be so very helpful.
And please don’t apologize for the length of your teachings. Your FANS can’t get enough.
    Gratefully,
    Anita G.
P.S. to your admirers, ASK MORE QUESTIONS!!!

  2. Loved this video. I think I learned more from the fixes than when it’s all perfectly planned in advance! Thanks so much and hope your 4th was fun! I do have an question related to stencils. Do you have a recipe for texture paste? It seems so expensive at the store. TIA

    1. I use white paintable acrylic latex caulking and I tint it with acrylic paint. Just mix the paint and caulking and you are all set!

  3. Hi Lindsay, 🙂
Hope you and your family, Lorraine and Kathy, had a great 4th of July.
We watched, on TV, your U.S. 4th of July Celebrations, near the White House and we really enjoyed it.
Please do not feel bad about making mistakes, we all do and that is how we learn.
Thank you so much for your daily videos; I learn so much and look forward each day to receiving them.
Wishing you and yours a great summer!

  4. A belated Happy 4th to you to Lindsay. We live on the coast of NC and we spent our 4th cleaning up after Arthur went through. But he was not so bad and we are thankful. Irene was a major pain and we feared this would be the same but it was not. So I hope you and yours and all of the frugal crafter followers had a safe and wonderful 4th.
