Ask a Crafter 40 {part 3!}

Hi Friends! Boy, I couldn’t be happier to have a “post in the can” tonight. It has been a tiring week for me with the 5:30 wake up calls.  I am one of those 7.5 to 8 hour a night sleepers or all is NOT right in my world, mostly I turn into a silly, laughing, lunatic…OK, not THAT much different from normal.  To prove this here is part 3 of the ask a crafter summer marathon:

That was fun! Have a great night and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Even though you all deserve a wonderful summer break, I selfishly became so sad to hear that there would be no ask a crafter til September. I look forward to my aac each week. Imagine my glee to find that you are doling out your precious time to us in prerecorded segments. Hooray!!!!!!!!!! I’m happy again . . . and anxiously waiting to see if someone comes in and refills those Mai Tais as the segments continue.

  2. You would love my schedule. I get up at 5 every morning but go to bed at about 8.

  3. Lindsay,
    I tried making my own glue dots, but they just didn’t work. First of all, I have to tell you that my glue gun and glue sticks are probably getting close to being antique, although I am on my last glue stick. They are definitely HOT! My question is this: do I need to use a special type of glue? Low melt or something? Will low melt work with “Hot” glue gun. I would really like to make these but the ones I made had no stick to them. They were very dry and hard.

    I love Ask a Crafter and have learned so much from you, and yes, I watch them all from start to finish. Thanks and have a wonderful vacation.

    • Hi TheresaV, What you made were faux “Dew Drops” with the hot glue, to makt glue dots that will be sticky like real “Glue Dots” you need Aleenes Tack IT OVer and Over glue. Drop small dotos of glue on waxed paper and let them dry (they will turn clear) then cover with another sheet of waxed paper until you are ready to use them.

  4. Thanks Lindsay and company, I love listening to your videos while I straighten up my craft room. ~Diane

  5. Lindsay.
    Have you seen a product called Bister?

    It is cool and I would like to know if you can figure out an American product that is similar. I am thinking dry Rite Dye maybe? The video is in Dutch but is understandable.

    Love your new video on the non molding gelli plate!

    • I bet the tie dye kit die would be ideal as the colors are finer and they are probably going to go on clearance soon because summer is almost over.
