Howdy friends! First off I have to say “thank you!” to my online stamping friend Emilie who, a few months ago, sent me a box of crafty goodies to share with my kids and students. She sent a wonderful assortment of beads, findings, stickers, crochet hooks and doll supplies. Well they sure came in handy when my twin’s girl scout troop adopted a miniature historic house to clean up and decorate. I do not have a photo of the house they worked on but here is the furniture they made:
They made 2 lamps, a chandelier, 2 plants and a bathtub!
This reminded me of when I was little and my mother would crochet ball gowns for my barbies and I would turn cracker boxes and salt containers into doll house furnishings.
My girls did a great job, i am so proud of them. Thanks again Emilie for sharing that box of treasure. Just think, that box of unused craft supply in your corner might be a creative treasure trove to some child! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Hey there – its been a while since I stopped by here – what a gorgeous, adorable, cute thing to return to. Your girls dont fall far from the creative mama tree. The furniture is too nunu/noonoo as we say here in South Africa. Doesnt quite translate into normal English – I mean that is shy we made up a word for it, but its like a word that encapsulates all the most adorable feelings you ever have into one deliciously nonsense word! Hope you are well and nice to be here again.

Kudos to the girls and to you. I hope more crafters will donate unused or no longer needed supplies to children’s organizations. In my area, the elementary and head start schools are in dire need since the arts are continually being cut. Take a look at your stash and see what would be useful to kids or senior citizens and donate. Thanks

Wow! It does bring back memories (I would make Barbie clothes out of my Grandmother’s scraps and dollhouses out of books), but these girls have some serious talent and dedication. I love what they created The chandelier is my favorite. I’m sure Emilie is proud, too!

My mother (now 92) was a miniature artist, and I am a miniature crafter, so I can honestly say that these are not only adorable, but well made, too. I’ll share this post with the miniature club I belong to.

Your kids did an awesome job on this, and I have to save this page for my grandkids too, as they´ve been working on their own homemade dollhouse here for a while now too, and they´ve also made everything right from the bottom, so they might get some new ideas from these, and I´m sure, they´ll apreciate that very much, so please thank your girls from a bunch of girls here from Denmark.

They did exactly what I had those beads and findings for. I made dollhouse lamps. The little coffee creamer cups also make nice waste baskets for dollhouses. You are most welcome. I’ll see what else I have as I need to downsize.

Oh Lindsay these are adorable. Nice going girls they are beautiful. I donate to a camp center for underprivileged kids and love that they
are able to use my excess or unneeded supplies to create with. Some of the items they sell for the non profit Center that goes to help other
kids to go to summer camp…..win win.

I must say girls and yourself did a wonderful job of using all that crafty goodness. I use some of my craft products for my Sunday school class and they love it. We have so much fun playing and creating. Hugs

Like Mother, like Daughters! They did a great job and are obviously very creative. The owner of our local scrapbook store, The Paper Pickle, put a notice up that if anyone had any crafting supplies they no longer wanted they could bring them in and she would take them to the woman’s shelter. She thought she would get a small box full and was overwhelmed by how generous people were. Some even brought in brand new items because they didn’t have anything to donate. The woman’s shelter was so thankful because as the saying goes, “Art Soothes the Soul”.
