Paint a Pinecone Christmas Card!

Howdy friends! This card does not need to be for Christmas but I just got these beautiful Christmas Song stamps in the mail from Oriental Trading Company so I thought “why not?” Wait til you see the size of this stamp set, it comes on an 8.5″x11″ storage panel punched and ready for my binder and it is chock-a-block full of stamps for $16! The sentiment is from that set along with so many pretty lines from other Christmas songs, I can’t wait to play with it some more. 🙂

This card is so easy to sketch and paint. I drew the pine cone from one I found in my yard, I’ll give you tips on sketching from life as well as how to accent your watercolors with watercolor pencil and watercolor crayon in today’s video:

  7. Another great tutorial. Love it! I would be happy to get that card in my mail box for sure. That looks like a great stamp set. I will have to see what their shipping rates to Canada are like. Some companies don’t charge any more than shipping within USA and some actually charge “International” rates which is crazy. I obviously don’t order from them!

I am so inspired by your creativity and your enthusiasm and I love watching your videos.I have no talent for painting and drawing but somehow you just make me want to have a go!Interesting craft supplies here in the UK are either hard to get or are expensive if they are available so it is nice that you encourage people to use what they have and be inventive themselves…..and for all of your useful tips a big thank you!I am going to have a go at the lovely 3-D snowflakes today.

  16. I JUST COMPLETED MY PINECONE CARD AND I LOVE IT. I HAVE DONE MANY OTHER MEDIUMS BUT ALWAYS STAYED AWAY FROM WATERCOLOR BUT YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN AND I LOVE THE CARD. THANKS FOR SUCH GREAT TUTORIALS. I BOUGHT SEVERAL OTHERS OF YOURS AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING THEM. KEEP ‘EM COMING.
