Make a Minion Card!

Howdy Friends! Last week when I made my nephews monster card I thought the oval monster body from the Make a Monster set by Stampin Up looked like a minion from Despicable Me, then I got to thinking about the crazy purple evil minions and I just had to make a card:

DCF 1.0

It was easy, you just need to add a few lines with a pen. I’ll even show you how to draw a minion if you do not have this stamp set in today’s video:

These cards will be great to have on hand. I decided to try and find some funny sayings and quotes that could go with these minions…minion memes LOL!

  • Families are like fruitcakes…mostly sweet with a few nuts.
  • Friends: They know how crazy you are and still choose to be seen with you in public.
  • Good friends don’t let you do stupid things…alone!
  • We’ll be friends until we are old and senile…then we’ll be new friends!

Birthday:

  • You’re only young once but you can be immature for a lifetime!
  • It’s nice to be young, healthy and full of energy. Can you remember?!
  • Old enough to know better…Young enough to still do it.
  •  You are only as old as you act.

DCF 1.0

I have been struggling with weather or not to do my videos in real time (like this one and most of mine are-see you can make a card in 20 minutes!) or if I should try and chop it down shorter. I seem to have no problem chatting for 20 minutes strait and hopefully you find the tips and hints worth the length. Let m know what you think please! well, that’s it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. You can pull off the long ones, so either way is fine with me. It is interesting to see someone adjust when there is a flaw, because we all have them. If there is an long part of coloring or cutting and edit or speeding up is appreciated.

  2. Lindsey,
You help make my day with your energetic videos and your skills. Don’t change a thing…your projects are fantastic and I love seeing the normal problems that we all have. Keep up the great work, girl!

  3. I sooooo enjoy your videos – only suggestion is to cut out any long coloring unless that is exactly the point of the video. Everything is always informative and makes me smile!

  4. I like your videos because they are NOT edited and you show us how to fix “unexpected surprises”. Love this card. I don’t have that stamp set but I think I could draw a minion. My little grandson just broke his arm yesterday so maybe I’ll make a card with a minion with a broken arm to send him.

  5. If you want to do some shorter videos, maybe do some where there is just music playing and the video is in fast forward if it is a simple card. I also like the ones where it is voice over after the video is done being made.

  7. Please don’t change a thing. I learn so much and get completely inspired when I watch your videos. Yours is my top 3 to watch. It’s like having a friend teach a project you would like to learn. Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work

  8. Don’t change it at all, even when there are mistakes,it is nice to see since we all have them and how you fix them.if people don’t like the length, there is always a fast forward button they can hit.when you did the dried flowers in the micro. You did do a pause for that and that was probably a good thing for that. I suppose it depends on what you are doing and how much talking or explaining you can do with it.your energy is always a PLUS

  9. Please don’t shorten the videos as I love to hear what you have to say about the project and any extra info you give while you are working on something. I really enjoy your videos for your upbeat manner and your humour.

  10. I prefer the videos done in real time–they never seem long to me. I’m always wishing for more. And I love all of your chatting. I watch other videos that are edited and well done, but they never inspire me like yours do, nor do I enjoy them as much–they seem like a formula which, after awhile, becomes the same old same old and quite dull.

  11. Pleeease don’t edit them to make them shorter. I love watching how you color! It helps me to know how to make the shading more realistic when I actually get to see you do it!

  13. I love to see you do stuff from start to finish, even when you have to dash across the room for supplies, because that is how we do it as well. I love the long videos because I am crafting while I watch (so for me the longer the better…) Thank you for the minnon inspiration. 🙂

  14. Love the videos just as they are. I watch for a new one every day. Loved the minion card; my grandson’s birthday is soon and he is addicted to minions.

  15. Don’t shorten your videos. I love learning things from you as you babble. No offense. I am a babbler and it is nice to know I am not alone. When you do a video it is like a friend has dropped in to make cards with me and give me tips and ideas. Love your personality.
