Hello Friends! I might as well call this an “inspired by pintrest” project because that is where I got the idea, I had seen lots of glitter resin jewelry being pinned and I really wanted to try it. Here are some of my first pieces:
Then I got creative! I grabbed my silver, turquoise and purple glitter from Papermart (only 99 cents a tube too!) and some silver dry tempera. Dry tempera is a children’s craft item, you mix the powder with water to make washable paint for kids. I wanted to see if I could color resin with dry tempera and yay! It worked! Best of all it doesn’t add any moisture to the resin so it cures well! I love how it looks like outer space, hence the name “Cosmos Earrings”.
I will also show you how to make the fun mesh window display cards in the video. This is a great beginner resin project so don’t be scared, give it a try!
I really love wearing my fab new earrings!

you can also take that holographic type wrapping paper or cellophane and cut it up in little tiny pieces and put that in the resin. Look at the fake dichroic glass on Little Windows site to see what I’m talking about.

I used Castin Craft Polyester resin and I bought it at ACmoree with a 50% off coupon but Blick Art Materails has a good price too, maybe they ship to France? It can be a volitile chemical and that is probably why it is expensive, hard to ship and all. I paid $17 for a quart USD

Great creations. I’m staying away from resin though – I vowed that I have enough crafty pots on the stove so I don’t need anymore. Exception – I just bought some of your water colouring techniques from your store so so much for that vow!!!! But I’ve always wanted to learn that so it is what it is.

Where could I find resin for the earrings and what is I good kind to use?

The resin will come with catalyst. You can use epoxy or polyester resin. Try Castin Craft or Ice Resin.
