Rainbow Party Card!

Howdy there! Rainbow designs have been so popular for parties lately. Today I am going to show you how to make a cute one layer card with a rainbow theme! By the way I will be signing copies of The Rainbow Pants (the wonderful childrens book written by Kelly Brooks Bay and illustrated by me) along with the author this Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Highland Pre-School, 29 Kennebec Road in Hampden. It is part of the Hampden Children’s Day festivities so if you have little ones and you are in the central Maine area come by and say “howdy!” OK, now that I have gotten that shameless plug over with here is the card we are going to make today. The cat stamp if by Lost Coast Designs.

All you need to make this is painters tape (or masking tape), scrap paper, cardstock, alphabet stencils, markers, ink pads and a stamp. I used Roltap mini brayers bit you can use a rectangular shadow stamp instead or make your own roltap mini brayer. Check out the video:

There you have it, easy peasy! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. I am one of those people who when she was a child wanted to use the whole box of crayons. Your latest projects, the hand and this sure make me want to experiment with lots of color. Thanks. I love your stuff.

  2. You remind me of the overly excited mothers on tv cuz school is starting!!! Well I may no longer have school aged children, I did go to town shopping and bought some school supplies for the grands when they come over! Can’t go wrong with the $1.00 box of Crayolas pencil crayons….never been so low!! Makes me feel like dancing!!….well, the neighbors kids are going back to school ahhhhhhhhhhhh! peace!! 🙂 Your card is great – love it and you surely make me lol especially the Maine accent!! Have a great day!

  3. I love your easy breezy kinda ”goofy” energy attitude! I mean that in a very good way!! Along with enjoying your videos, you make me laugh. I did have a question about your color brushes, the short stubby ones, are they makeup brushes or really made for stamping brushes? I love stamping and making cards and like the way those brushes work. I just recently realized you live in Maine,I am also a “Mainiac”.Keep up the good work!
    Thanks.

  4. I had three daughters – yes, all clothes had to be tried on and lots of negotiations and I also used the “If I buy it, you will wear it – or else” rule.
Nice technique – I will be trying that one for sure. Love you videos!

  5. When you wrote that you were going to be “singing copies of The Rainbow Pants”, I thought your video was going to be a concert reading of the book you illustrated!!!
