DIY Puffy Paper Stars!

Howdy folks! I am so glad to be back in Maine (although I think I left the hot sunny weather in Boston) but during my travels I bought a pack of origami star folding strips. I made a bunch of stars and turned some into earrings!

DCF 1.0

I was confused by the directions on the package so looked up the technique on Pinterest and understood how to make them. Then I thought this would be a good technique to video since it is a better “show me” technique, have a look:

Now you can stop throwing away all of those strips of paper left next to your paper cutter! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  4. Woo hoo! Love making these little stars. I just needed the refresher on getting them started (did them from the long, lost kit couple years ago). Earrings are a great idea! Thank you!

  5. I’ve often seen these little stars, Lindsay, and never knew how to make them. You make it look so easy! I love the shiny paper you have used, Covering them with embossing powder is a good idea to make them more durable. You could probably dip them in UTEE too. They are lovely! Thanks for sharing.

It’s so good to hear you so cheerful and upbeat as a result of the good news about the surgery. Now all we need is a speedy recovery!
