Howdy folks! I taped this video on Tuesday, just now getting it posted. I’s been a heck of a week. Anyway, I hope you enjoy;)
If you have any questions you can leave a comment and I will answer them in next weeks video, if you have limited internet and want me to just respond to your comment just let me know;)
Happy crafting!
Thanks for another super helpful video. I watch them all! My question is: what can you do to keep digital stamped images and self made greetings printed on an inkjet printer from bleeding when coloring them in? I’ve tried a coating of modpodge but that leaves a plastic texture I really don’t like. Any suggestions?

if you color them with alcohol based markers they will not blead! If you want to use watercolors get a colorless blending pencil ($1.30 prismacolor) and trace over your lines with that before coloring, it seals the ink in.

Hi Lindsay!
Thanks for answering my question regarding the Clipboards! Actually I did adhered my paper with the Yes paste! It is my favorite adhesive too! I let it dry for about 4 days. Do you think that that was NOT long enough? It bubbled after the 1st coat of gloss ModPodge. I was going for a kinda patchwork look. There was a 4×6 ish in the center with 2×2 ish all around. It was all adhered with a very thin layer with YES paste. I used a plastic squeegee to really press all the pieces down. I did decorate both sides of the clipboard. The bubbling did occur on the larger 4×6 piece. I did prick it to allow for some adhesive to penetrate through and then press it down. It did leave a slight crease. oh well.
I did some research and as for the slight tacky feel. I did end up getting the spray ModPodge Gloss acrylic sealer.
It really did turn out adorable. Clairian’s teacher is really into western cowboy boot theme. (Which is fantastic because because I have the cutest 6yr old girl in the world who sports the most adorable pair of cowgirl boots everyday! Only in Texas…I’ll tell ya!) So this Clipboard was in denim pattern paper and red bandanna pattern paper. Arranged like a patchwork quilt! I tied rugged packing twine to the clip part to be the “lasso” to hold the Loop the the “4-colored” click pen.” I had used my cricut to cut a sheriff’s badge about 4in and a lasso that said HOWDY and Welcome to MRS. CAYCE”S CLASS!
OMG!!! ADORABLE…If I do say so myself! Actually…Mrs. Cayce cried when she opened it. Everyone ohh and ahh and wanted to “place an order!” I was in tears..It was a BIG CRY FEST!
So I kinda have to perfect the technique first!
Thanks for all of your help! You are SIMPLY THE BEST!

that sounds adorable! I can’t image why the paper bubbled if you adhered it with YES paste…maybe you need a longer dry time, weird…the spray sealer should keep it from bubbling though;) TFS

Somewhere around 43:20………….what brand of paper is “really rugged stuff”? I keep missing what you say. I prefer buying my paper at JoAnn’s rather than ACMoore or Michaels. Michael’s carry “Reflections” card stock and it’s too thin for my taste. JoAnn’s carry Bazzell and I love it.

it was Stampin Up cardstock available from a stampin up demonstrator.

I have a question for next week Lindsay. Now that I found and bought the jumbo bottle of glycerine for my Hectograph, I need to remember all the things you have said glycerine works for. I remember something about adding it to dead ink pads? I can’t remember, anyhow a 101 uses for glycerine would be great, lol, just kidding on the 101, 99 will be fine! Love watching you on Wednesdays! ~Diane

use glycerin for clear embossing ink, dove blending solution (a couple drops of glycerin + a couple drops of water), use it to condition stamp or on stained stamps (you can wash off the ink with stamp cleaner after coating with glycerin) add glycerin to guache paint to make embossing ink refills, add it to soap for extra moisture, also you can search “glycerin” in the search box of my blog for more ideas and recipies!

Hi Lindsay,
Do you have a video explaining how to use the digital stamps, if not is possible to do one? For example I saw you beautiful stamps called “Chic Deco Frames & Stamps”, and I’d like to see how you use them. Thanks a lot and have a good day.

Ho I am sorry I did not explain myself correctly. No I wanted to know how to cut them and use them on a card, in particular those frames because they are so intricate and detailed stamps ?

oops, that was me, I meant to reply to the comment above. I think the stamp set you mentioned was by another designer at Mygrafico, can you send me a link to the product?

Try printing thm on cardstock, cutting them out and using them for tags, journal blocks or frames that you can stamp something else into!

Hi Lindsay,
Thanks for answering my questions…as always. And thanks for doing a water color video this week with faux-latos…that’s on the list of fun stuff to try this week:)
My question for this week is…I have some balsa wood book”worm” book marks that I want the kids to color during our summer camp/yoga event. Do you have suggestion on the best (and least messy for the yoga studio) medium to use on the wood?
Thanks so much! Enjoy your day!
Peace & blessings,
Marie

I would get colored bingo daubers from the dollar store to stain the wood with and use washable markers for details only as the markers will wear down with repeated use on the wood.
