Hellooooo friends! It Wednesday so that means it’s time for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday over at the Stamping Ground. My desk, well, this is how it looked at 11pm last night when I closed up shop. I am in the middle of illustrating a children’s book. I am hoping to have everything wrapped up this week and off to the publisher soon. I can’t wait to share some of the illustrations with you but for now here is the desk littered with my drafting tools and watercolor pencils and a mirror. Oh don’t forget the wine glass, I was working late last night, The beauty of being self-employed, don’t judge.
Also since it is Wednesday it is time for another episode (I’d say installment but episode is more me…look, there’s Lindsay having an episode LOL, see it fits!) of Ask a Crafter. I had another epic 3 pages of questions submitted by blog readers and YouTube viewers and I got to them all without my camera running out of juice. I’m golden this week I tell ya!
So, if YOU have a question just leave a comment and I will answer it on next weeks Ask a Crafter segment! If you want to see more crafty desks check out WOYWW at the Stamping Ground. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Great work space, thanks for sharing.
Have a great week and happy crafting

Hi Lindsay!
Illustrating a children’s book! Awesome! Maybe you can illustrate one for me someday:) Thanks for answering my questions the last two weeks. Great suggestions!
So I bought the Inktense color pencils and I’m loving them – they are as easy to work with as you said they’d be. I had a weak moment and with my 50% off coupon in hand, I purchased Derwent’s Metallic Water Color Pencils. The tin shows amazing color on dark paper but when I add water to them it seems to disappear. Can you give me any tips on getting the most out of the pencils?
Thanks again for all you do!
Peace, love & many blessings,
Marie

{teeHee} I am prone to “episodes” myself LOL! I just love children’s book illustrations. My total fave has to be The Very Persistent Gappers of Fripp (by George Saunders, illustrated by Lane Smith, who I think might have done The Stinky Cheese Man too!)
Good luck with it!
Happy WOYWW!

Woo hoo! What a great way to start my day watching “Ask a Crafter”. I am glad to hear craft ideas hit you where ever you are. I too find those inspirations when I am out shopping. Thank you for the information about Design Teams. I am not at the point of trying that out but your advice is most appreciated. Have a great day in Maine!

Hi, I am a new crafter and look forward to your tips every week. As you know crafting can be expensive, would you happen to know of a sort of “Craig’s List” for crafting. I’ve tried eBay and they have a few things. I’m looking for a die cast machine, something a little more high end than a Cricut. If you could point me in the right direction I would be so appreciative. Thanks from a Girl Raised in the South.

if you are looking for an electronic model you might be able to get a used Silhouette or PAzzles die cutter, people often upgrade when a newer bigger machine comes out. Try splitcoast stampers Buy/Sell?Trade forum and see if anyone is selling or post that you are looking to buy a machine. Sometimes people buy them and don’t use them as much as they thought, here is the link to the forum: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/buy-sell-trade-f14/
