Happy Monday! The sun is shining and it is finally starting to feel like spring! I whipped up this springy bracelet and necklace this weekend using stuff I had leftover from other projects, it’s funny how one thing leads to another!
I have a video tutorial on making the loopy flowers I used on the necklace here.
I used measuring tape twill ribbon from Papermart on both of the pieces. I was going to use an actual sewing measuring tape but I could not find an extra and I remembered this ribbon, I’m glad I did too because the plastic ribbon would not have felt as nice to wear.
I used Aleens Jewel-It glue to adhere the glass pebbles to the ribbon and also in the ribbon crimps before I closed them for a secure bond. This glue is for adhering beads to fabric and can be washed!
I added some sparkly beads on headpins to a large jump-ring near the clasp to make the design a little more interesting.
I also used a toggle to finish the necklace. Elegant, no?
I really like making fun statement jewelry, it’s fun to make and fun to wear. I’m putting this in my craft fair booth but if it does not sell I am totally keeping it!
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
