Boy Scout Scrappin’! {manly ways to use glitter, ribbon & ruffles!}

Howdy folks! Do you ever pre-scrap you pages? It’s like making a sketch but you make an entire page before a photo is ever printed. I think it is a great way to play with the design of a page without worrying about ruining the perfect photos.

After making the above layout I know I want a large group photo to go in the frame and all of the other candid shots can go in the file folder, journaling can be written on the white part on the right hand page or put in the folder too. The folder is a great place for photos I printed off friends Facebook pages too! Here is a video on the techniques I used to make this layout. You can find the Camo ribbon, baker’s twine, glitter and sparkly deco mesh at Papermart!

Wasn’t that easy? Doesn’t it make you want to scrapbook? Don’t you wish I remembered to turn my telephone ringer off before I started filming? LOL! Never a dull moment, what can I say 🙂 Here are some close-ups of the pages from the video:

You can use these ideas when scrapping you summer camp or scouting photos too. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Hi from Devon, UK !! I stumbled upon your blog looking for Baker’s twine – what a gem! I’m a carder rather than a scrapbooker and don’t have some of the stores you mention but I love watching your videos, they’re great so infectious and enthusiastic they make my day. Thank you for sharing all your tips and a really fun blog.
