Nifty, huh? I have been picking away at sorting beads throughout the Christmas break. I needed something to store small pots of beads since whenever I would open said pots they would fly hither and thither around my craft room, hence, I never used them! Then I remembered that I had bought plastic test tubes a couple of years back for party favors (and they were so cute I could not part with them) and they would be perfect for storing these beads. The rubber stoppers on the end are secure yet easy to remove so I can get to my beads without spilling them but if I knock a closed vial on the floor the stoppers will stay put. These are not real test tubes, they are test tube shooters (ya know for liquor shots…so I’m told…) and they are pennies a piece I think the tubes are 6 cents and the stoppers are 2 cents each, I got a set of 50 tubes and the holder for $18 at Shot Wizard.
So here is my very sad, neglected, abandoned work table today:
Why am I not making beads you ask? Because one of my little ones is sick with a stomach ache and nasty cough, I will be taking her to the doctor in a few minutes to make sure nothing serious is wrong, I worry about pneumonia whenever there is a rattly cough…and she has had the cough since Friday. Poor dear. 😦

What a great idea, Lindsay. It also makes one think that something like a serious scientific experiment is going on, which is rather fun – a bit like the beginning of Tim Holtz’s Youtube videos! I love the little test tubes and the rack they stand in. The colours are gorgeous, too. I do hope your little girl is soon fully recovered, and that the infection doesn’t spread to the rest of you.
I forgot all about WOYWW this week! Still getting over the rigours of the holiday season, I suppose, and I’m completely out of any routine I might otherwise have! There’s nothing of interest on my work desk anyway.

thanks! the doctor said it is not asthma or pneumonia, just a viral thing going around and she is past the point of being contagious so she can go back to school, she said that the cough might stick around for two weeks but it is par for the course:) I am so relieved it is not pneumonia!

Thank goodness she is all right .My grandaughter ( age 32 ) had the flu and she was terribly sick.

Good news about your baby’s health, but the cough in itself can be pretty tiring for a littl’un, huh. Love the eat proof surface you’ve got there, pretty and practical too. Bet a lot of people will be swooning of those bead tubes!

Very glad to hear your little girl has nothing serious, Lindsay. You did the right thing to take her to the doctor, though, just in case. That really did prove too much of a challenge to get right… My designs have now been accepted by the Tangle Patterns site so hopefully I’ll get some more visitors to my blog!

you can email a stamp company and ask if they would considr your artwork. If they say “yes” then send a jpg image. I’d send a small image and then the large one if they agree to pay for it.
