Well, I spoke too soon. I officially have a cold. I am stuffy and cranky and even the dog wants no part of my company which is just as well. I am holed up in my craft room with a cup of tea, Netflix on my Kindle and my markers (neener-neener). OK that is all the self-pity I can muster, on with the show! Lookie what I colored. I am a curios sort though, so, I have a question for you (since you are commenting anyway): What tutorials would YOU like to see on my blog? Be specific or be general. What crafty stuff do you want to learn more about. Let me know and I may do a tutorial on it. That’s it, no strings, just leave a comment and good luck! You will also get the smaller matching stamp as well. The stamp is deeply etched red rubber. I just used a bit of double-sided tape to attach it to my rock-a-block and got a beautiful impression. I find that when I use a curved stamp mount I rarely need cushion on my stamps saving me storage space and money. I love that the stamps from About Art Accents are so deeply etched that I can still get all of the detail without the cling-cushion.
This is an easel card, it stands up like this for display but folds flat to mail in an ordinary envelope. I tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum so it would not be too thick to mail. I colored the fairy with a combo of Promarkers, Copics and Spectrums, they all play nice together LOL! In fact, I’m thinking of just mixing all of my markers up in one rack or bin by color, marker intergration…a big marker party, Copics, Trias, Prismacolors, away with original packaging! Can’t we all just get along?
Well then, I’d better stop before I start considering resorting my paper by pattern instead of color…that’s just nonsense. Til next time happy crafting!

Is there something in the air? I too caught the cold that’s been going around the office, ugh. I love your tutorials and would like to see more on coloring. I have watercolor pencils but can’t do much with them; same with my watercolor crayons.

Wonderful coloring Lindsay…lovely card. Thanks too for the tip that all those alcohol markers play well together! By all means, sort them together by color…should save on storage space and give more color options in at one glance! I would like to see a tutorial on varying die shapes in a flip card. I bought an all in one flip die and hid it from myself so well I can’t find it! I know you can make this type of card with regular dies and your cutter/score – would need a tutorial oh great one…thanks in advance for considering my request!

Sorry I don’t leave more comments, because your’s is the one email I read first. I just want you to know that I appreciate all your tips and tricks. Actually I have an email folder just for your blog! I have enjoyed many of your svg files. Anyway Lindsay you are awesome to share your knowledge and I for one surely do appreciate you. I am sorry I don’t let you know that more often. Oh and I hope you do get well soon. But some food for thought. I think that sometimes these little bumps in the road are nature’s way of telling us it’s is necessary and definitely ok to slow down and focus on ourselves.

Hi Lindsay! I LOVE all of your videos. You always crack me up and I always learn something. It seems that I most enjoy any video where you show and highlight coloring techniques! I love watching you color esp. w/ alcohol markers. I would have LOVED a video showing how you colored this image, she is gorgeous! I hope that I am lucky enough to win her! 🙂

I have that stamp but gee I couldn’t color it that well.Loading my ATC gun is one tutorial I’d like, Using glitter efficiently is another. I have lots but seldom use it. Use Stickles instead.

I love how you adorn your cards with the most awesome stamps and how you color and blend them. You can take a stamp that I probably would never think would make a pretty card and turn it in to the most awesome card ever! I have been racking my brain on what tutorial you should post and think you have posted so many wonderful and extremely helpful tuts. Have you posted one on paper mache? (I want to make a paper mache dress form for my daughters dresser.) Probably have, I just haven’t found it yet but will keep looking. Thank you so much Lindsey! I really appreciate your tutorials and I have applied so many of them to my crafting and everyday uses.

Nothing worse than a cold for all over aches and gripes except for maybe the flu. Remember chicken soup is suppose to help. Love the videos, nothing comes to mind at the moment for what I need to learn. Thank you for sharing with us all.

I love the Fae…so this stamp would be perfect. In the midst of building a Fairy House for the balcony.
A tutorial on table top sized dress forms would be wonderful. Perhaps made with Paper Mache. I made a few fabrics ones but the paper would look more real.

Ah, fairies are always welcome. I have just a couple of stamps from this company. They. We’re at our last stamp show this past spring. Tutorials-I love cards that are not ordinary, like the one you have post today. I also love coloring with my Prismatic colored pencils. I saved up and used a coupon to get the whole set. So, I’m not planning on investing much in markers. Mine seem to dry out too quickly. Thank you for the info you provide for us. I had never heard of the stamping gear until you posted about the one you bought. I was able to purchase one a few weeks later with a 50percent coupon. It’s the coolest stamping gadget that’s come out for a long time!

I havent found my nitch in stamping yet. I really enjoy doing it and I usually get ideas from blogs like yours. I enjoy teaching my Grandchildren some of the fun and cool things I learn. My biggest issue is cleaning stamps. If you would like to share how you clean your rubber stamps I would love that. I buy the kids the kid friendly ink pads but I think they are the hardest ones to clean. I do not get that.

lovely bit of colouring – and makes a nice change to see a coloured card – instead of white.
If I were to ask for more tutorials or something of that ilk, I would want to know more about storage in general – how and why and what. Then, I could either go with that, or think that I am already doing what is best for me at the moment – I really love to see how people sort and store their things.
I personally don’t do a lot of fairy cards – but I know lots of people do, and we don’t make cards for ourselves after all, so you gotta be in it to win it! Would love a chance at winning the stamp please.
Thank you – hope your cold doesn’t take too much of a hold on you. I used to suffer terribly with upper respiritory tract infections just because someone in the office had a cold… it led to nasty things.
Totally agree about the rock-a-blocks… it’s all I will use when stamping, mounted or unmounted. I’ve even torn stamps off their wooden block so I can use with rock-a-blocks. I have some SU stamps that I didn’t mount either because I don’t like wooden blocks. Can’t beat acrylic or polymer really.

I bought the sharpies and the bic mark it and was only able to find primson blending pen and the copic blending (5.00 at a scrapbook expo) not sure what I’m doing wrong …maybe not coloring right..recap would be good..

I, too, happen to be sick with a nasty, nasty flu. Luckily I’m getting over it at this point, and boyfriend and I both are crossing our fingers that he didn’t catch it as well. I love the coloring you do, it’s incredible.
