Video Tutorial: Faux Distress Ink

So many supplies, so little cash (am I right?) so when I see a technique I like I try to duplicate it with the supplies I have on hand. I love the distress ink technique of stamping with water to reveal a lighter image. I tried it with my other ink pads and I did not get the look I was going for and then I remembered that whenever I drip water on an ink jet printout I get just the effect I want! Check out these cards, the orange background was done with my faux distress technique. The focal images are digistamps from the new Pen & Ink Poppies set from Lindsay’s stamp Stuff.

I wish I took a photo of the background itself before I adhered the card but you can see it well in the video.
