Over at the Shabby Tea Room this week they have challenged us to make a project using our birthstone as inspiration, since mine is ruby I chose a panel of ruby stardream cardstock as my inspiration. The fact that my kids go back to school this week gave me the perfect theme. This weeks challenge is sponsored by Pink Persimmon stamps so you will want to play along and win some awesome rubber, all the stamps I used here are from Pink Persimmon:
I had lots of scraps of school themed papers and I used them to make this card and envelope. I am using a lot of photo corners lately because I just got a great Martha Stewart cut/emboss corner punch, I have been punching all of my small cardstock scraps with this and filing them away, I love the vintage flair they add!
The wagon and books is from the Little Red Wagon set (it was the first set I bought from Pink Persimmon years ago and still one of my faves!) and the ruler is rom the Hello Vintage Girl set. Love how well all of their stamps work together. Here is a look at the sets I used:
I just love back to school time, don’t you? Don’t forget to play along at the Shabby Tea Room for your chance to win some Pink Persimmon stamps! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
