It’s all about the FUN!

As much as I TRY to be ahead of the game having stashes of premade cards ready for any occasion I always seem to be scrabling a half hour before we leave for a birthday party looking for (or making) a card. In my defence it us usually because I ask my darling children if they want to make a card for their friends birthday, and they say “yes” and then when it is time to leave and I ask isf they made the card they say “no MOM, you can do it.” Gee thanks LOL! Not that I mind, I find making cards for chirldren really freeing because they don’t care if the shades of blue you use go together or if the stickers are out of date of if the coloring is perfect, to them it is all about the fun, how about that! sounds good to me, here is a 10 minute card I whipped up on the way out the door to a party yesterday:

I used my SU! sock monkey set (I love that for kids cards!) and simply stamped everything in basic black ink, scribbled on some watercolor crayons and blended it with a blender pen, added gratuitous amounts of stickers, some brads and viola! Done and we got to the party on time!

paper: DCVW, Cardstock, Bazzil, Stamps: SU!, Watercolor Crayons: Caran D'Ache, Stickers: Dollar Tree

This card qualifies for the following challenges: Cards For Men (animals), ColorQ (color challenge), Digistamps4joy (circles), Party Time Tuesdays (Birthday), and the sketch at Sugar Creek Hollow (hi Tracy!)

Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
