Howdy folks! The next best thing to designing for MyGrafico is checking out the fun products that the other designers create. I saw these cute new Up, Up and Away stamps from Sanqunetti Design and the Olive Patterns set 2 from Blackleaf Studios and knew I needed to make some cards:
It was so easy to make these, I did some digital paper piecing and printed all of the elements for 4 cards on one sheet of paper making it affordable. Also I used BBenvelope from my Envelope bonanza set which allows me to make two 4 1/2 square envelopes from one sheet of 12″x12″ paper, that is great if you have the original 6″x12″ cricut and the printable template is included so you can use that too! I cut mine,2 on a sheet, with my Cricut Expression and SCAL software.
The great thing about digital paper for cardmakers is that you can scale down the pattern so it looks nicer on the card, I turned the 12″ square paper into 4″ square swatches and arranges 4 on a sheet. To paper piece the clouds and baskets I simply layered the stamp over the paper I wanted to “cut” in Paint Shop Pro, selected the magic wand tool and clicked outside the design so the background was selected, clicked on the paper layer and presed delete. then I merged the tw layers together and added it to my card. I cut out the circles for the balloons and adhered them with foam tape for touchable dimension. You can make this set of cards in minutes!
This set qualifies for the following challenges: Bee Crafty, Crafty Cardmakers (punches-circle on balloons), Dutch Dare (anything goes), Prarie fairy (anything goes w/3-D elements), Lexi’s Creations (paper piecing) and One stitch at a time (pink)
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to print and resize digital papers to be used in the cricut? I love the idea, but I’m new to the digital stuff! If anyone could help me, I’d really appreciate it!! Thanks!!

Hi Erin,
You can simply print the digital papers like you would a photo on to white cardstock then cut that paper in the Cricut machine, it is easy. I use cheap PG cardstock and print a sheet of digital paper then load it in to the cricut to cut. You can even use MS word to resize and print paper, check out my tutorial here: https://thefrugalcrafter.wordpress.com/how-to-use-digital-stamps/ and resize it just like you would a digital stamp, no computer savvyness needed:)
