Hi folks! I’m going to keep todays post as short and sweet as possible, I’m not feeling too well today so I am posting then back to bed! I wanted to make sure I told you about the big Lindsay’s stamp Stuff Birthday Party we are having here next week: We will kick it of with a 3 day blog hop where we will give away 19 LSS stamp sets, a 3 day Virtual Crop where there will be a freebie each day {sign up at the MyGrafico Community to play along} and lots of fun. It kicks of right here Tuesday! More details on this post.
Now on to the projects, I use the pincushion from the sew pretty stamp set to make this:

I love the bright colors I get when I use markers on white cardstock but then I am left with a white background, see how to “Faux Mask” and colored the background with chalk in this video {My hand is not even in the way!}
Here are some close-ups of the projects:

And now for the freebie! Here is a cute teapot that matches the stamps in the Teariffic stamp Set from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff. Click the picture to download:

Here is the matching set called Teariffic:

OK enough from me, let’s see what the rest of the LSS DT came up with this week:
Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to come back on Tuesday for the big blog hop and crop, thill next time happy crafting!

Wow! These projects are beautiful! And I am so going to try your faux masking idea. And the new stamps are adorable. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hate to hear that your feeling bad! I hope you feel better when you get up! I love your projects this week! You can bring anything to life and may it look so real!! I love your video! I don’t like having a white background either! Is clear ink the same thing as versa mark pad? Thanks so much for always inspiring me!

Yep, a versamark pad will work!

Cool! I have chalk and never use them. I love this idea. I need to make a trip to HL for some pompoms and glycerin.

Thanks for another wonderfully informative video! I always end up with those glaring white backgrounds, too, and I’ve often wondered what to do about it. Thanks for the great (and do-able) ideas!

Love your pin cushion. Reminds me so much of my Dad’s aunt who was a seamstress and had a pin cushion like that when I was a kid. I never did figure out what the little “strawberry” attached to it was for.
Thanks for the teapot:)!

I think the strawberry is for sharpening the needles with:)

Great video…I’ll have to remember to try my chalks and I’ll have to see if I can find some veggie glycerin in my local health food store (finding time to get there may prove more difficult than finding the product – LOL)

Greetings from a Florida gal! I’m very glad to have found your blog through Digi-Free/Craft Crave. Your video is most informative and I would ask just one question, if I could: can you share what brand or name “glossy paints” you’re using to make your own inks? I’m not sure I know what you mean by “glossy paints”. I work mostly digitally, but I also use stamps, and create a lot of hybrid stuff but cutting and layering with dimensionals.
Thank you again and wish you continued inspiration!

Hi Vianna, It’s not glossy paint is is qauche {pronounced gwash} it is an opague watercolor, like tempera but thicker. Mix it with a bit of glycerin and viola: pigment ink!

It is by inque boutique, the company was bought by Darice but I have not seen them release any stamps yet. maybe try ebay or etsy or post a “wanted” ad on splitcoast.
