As soon as I saw this cute Birds & Blossom Set from Sarah Paris Style I know I wanted to make a gift set:

I used the sketch from 2Sketches4you to make this, I used Kazan’s Sketch #41 for the tea tin and the bonus sketch for the card, talk about easy!

The elements in the Birds and Blossoms set are black and grey. It was super easy to color them just the way I wanted. First I chose the png versions of the files I wanted and pasted them into a new 8.5″x11″ document in PSP. Then I used the paint bucket tool to color it in, easy peasy! The “inked looking” boxes around the elements are done by using the rectangular selection too to make a box around the image, then I used the art media tool (colored pencil selected at a large size) and I drew along the edges. I saved my printable sheet so I could print it again when I wanted to make another set. Here is a screenshot of my colored sheet:

You can find gift packages of the tea tins in department stores this time of year, they are fun to decorate and add to gift baskets, if you wait til after Christmas you can by them for half price and use them for gifts throughout the year. As a bonus the recipient has a pretty storage tin when the tea is gone! I had so much fun swapping products with Sarah Paris Style, be sure you stop by her blog to see the beautiful card she made with my doodle flowers set and check back at her blog tomorrow to see what else she has in store using Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff products. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Lindsay, what can I say but WOW! I’m almost speechless. You’ve done such a wonderful job (again) and have the most amazing ideas. I love the colour scheme you’ve used and the soft coloured pencil style around the boxes is beautiful. Truly a gift any friend would treasure.
