Do you ever celebrate the last day of anything? We all scrap the first day of school but this year I decided to make a scrapbook page about the last day of the kids summer vacation:

Tip: Save $ on embellishments by using memorabilia like i did with the movie tickets. All the paper came for a DCWV stack of 180 sheets that I got on sale for $9 (Jo Anns has them on sale all the time!) and the rubber words came in a grab-bag, they were a log strip and I cut out the words that went with my layout. I used my Cricut and SCAL software to cut the title. The layout cost about 20 cents to make not counting photos! Not bad, eh?
Have a great sunday and till next time happy crafting!
Lindsay, I have a question for you……on your clear page pebbles that you make with glue sticks, where do you get your glue??? I have tried making mine, and I guess the glue is just not clear enough. Was hoping you could help me find the right stuff! Thanks! Katt

I use the cheap 10/$1 kind at ac moore but I’ve used the adhesive tech from walmart too. The key is to make the drops small 3/16″ wide and when you color them it makes them look clearer for some reason. If that doesnt work for what you have just dust them with pearl ex for faux pearls!

Love the page. It is a great idea to scrap the last day of summer vacation! Are you cinema’s ticket heat wrinten? Because if so they will go away with time and if exposed to sun or heat… But maybe you allready scan them to put on your page.
