I know this isn’t a crafty post but I just found out that Sci-fi author Michael Crichton died yesterday of Cancer at age 66. Each of his books is a gift. My favorite, and the first I ever read of his is Next, how happy I was to fall in love with the work of such a prolific writer. It was a treat to read The lost World (nothing like the movie) and Sphere (never saw the movie) and Congo (WAY better than the movie!) He had a knack for writing stories that are steeped in science fact that the fiction seemed believable. After all he went to Harvard Medical School. If you want to find out more read this article from the Wired website. Do yourself a favor and pick up one of his books the next time you are in the library, you will be glad you did.
I saw that yesterday on Google Entertainment News…so sad…so young!
