We are all mad here…

Oh Alice! I do love Alice in wonderland and when I saw the “Read” challenge over at Gingersnap Creations I have to pay tribute to Alice in Wonderland:

Stamp: Sweet Pea Stamps, collage sheet: Nicecrane designs

I used a stamp from Sweat Pea Stamps, isn’t is freakishly delightful! The vintage image tucked behind it is from the Alice Through Time CS from Nicecrane Designs, the images on the Alice collage sheets at Nicecrane are fantastic, it is hard to pick a favorite, luckily there is a Alice Collage sheet bundle you can get so you don’t have to pick! Too much of a good thing is wonderful! (yep, another Mae West quote LOL!)

I used my Cricut and SCAL software to cut the shaped card above (font: kutups09) and the swirls on the card below 9font: DB Dainty Swirl).

Stamp: Sweat Pea Stamps, Die cuts done with Cricut and Scal software using the font DB dainty swirls.

This image seemed a little liquid to me, like it was underwater so I went with cool colors, I call it “Alice Underwater.” I hole punched the edge for a bubble effect and added dew drops for, well, water drops. The background on both of the cards is done by weaving 1/2″ strips of book pages from Alice in Wonderland and inking them. Fun!

These cards also qualify for these challenges: The ABC Challenge (vintage), The Crafty Pad (over the edge), Creative Craft Challenge (ribbons and bows-red card) and Oh Alice (use swirls+Alice image-purple card).

Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. LOVE this! Those colors: WOW! You’re so talented, Lindsay, it’s mind-boggling.

(BTW, I’m glad you like Alice and the Gingersnaps. You never know when or how the two might converge. Just sayin’…)

  2. I love both cards – I have been drooling over these Sweet Peas and also the Elaine Fox wonderland images they carry! Wonderful cards – love the layering and colors on the first card, and the bubbles on the second card are brilliant! And happy unbirthday to you, too! 🙂

  3. Oh wow Lindsay….. AWESOME. I love how you colored this. On the first one, love how you incorporated the collage sheet and love that base card design. On the second one, again, love how you colored the image and love the black die cuts.

    Beautiful……
